Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s world-famous beauty knows no bounds. The former Miss World catches eyeballs wherever she goes. Currently in Rome for her commitments as the brand ambassador of Longines, ARB is attracting a LOT of attention but for the wrong reason–her OOTD.
Recently, Aishwarya shared a few pictures of her latest look for the Swiss luxury watchmaker on Instagram and we have only one thing to say to her – CHANGE YOUR STYLIST ALREADY. Seriously, we can’t emphasise enough on how badly the actress needs a different person styling her for events and occasions. Have a look at what made us finally speak our mind out loud:
Aishwarya wore a pearly pink gown by Ziad Germanos for the event. This, she accessorised with a huge sapphire ring surrounded by diamonds and a neon green wristwatch by Longines. And as much as we love colours, this look doesn’t work for us. For starters, the casual look-and-feel of the watch is not complementing the ballroom gown. Secondly, her makeup looks washed out and hair carelessly done. See for yourself:
Not to mention, the filters are adding to the damage.
We did some digging and realised that Aishwarya’s Ziad gown is customised. The original gown comes without that broad and unflattering halter neck tie-up and with a matching slim belt. Check it out below:
Customisations are supposed to work in favour of the wearer. That is the whole point of couture, TBH. But given Ash’s body type and her natural panache, we feel the OG gown would have looked better on the actress with proper styling. Think pearl necklace and a neatly done hairdo. A statement-making clutch would have been wonderful. Not to forget anything but a green wristwatch.
It is important to understand that not every stylist understands what works and what doesn’t work on their clients. ARB, maybe Aastha Sharma isn’t the one for you.
