Back in the 90s when Sanjay Leela Bhansali was making everybody fall in love with Nandini and Sameer, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan had found love in each other. Not to mention, their affair was in the headlines of gossip columns for months (for reasons good and bad).
After their bitter break up, the two have hardly acknowledged each other. However, an unseen picture of the two ex-lovebirds has recently surfaced on Instagram. This old picture of Aish and Sallu is creating a lot of buzz.
The two actors started dating in 1999. However, their romance sadly came to an end in 2002. After a while, Aishwarya revealed in an interview that the reason for their break up was physical abuse. She said, “He would call me and talk rubbish. He also suspected that I was having affairs with my co-stars. There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks and I would go to work as if nothing happened.”

In another interview, Salman tried to clarify the allegations by saying that he has never beaten her up. “I get emotional and hurt myself. I have banged my head against the wall but I cannot hurt anyone else,” he confessed.
Salman and Aishwarya’s break up had left everyone heartbroken including Salman. While shooting for Kyun Ho Gaya Na, Aish and Vivek Oberoi came close which did not sit well with Salman. Vivek Oberoi, the actor who was touted be the ‘next big thing in B-town’ after his debut with Saathiyan, now had to call a press conference.
In the conference, he revealed that Salman called him up 41 times and threatened him. The reason was that Salman’s ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai was dating Vivek at that time.
Post the film, Vivek was reportedly sidelined from the Bollywood. No roles were given to him even after he apologised to Salman Khan on record. Hence, his career never picked up the pace everyone was hoping for.
Now, the three of them have seemed to move on peacefully. Aishwarya is married to Abhishek Bachchan and has a 7-year-old daughter Aradhya. Salman’s is still unmarried, however, his name keeps getting linked with Bollywood beauties. Vivek Oberoi made his comeback with Krrish 3 and will be seen as Narendra Modi in PM Narendra Modi.
