When I think of exams, I can only remember being extremely stressed out, trying to remember what I’d studied the night before. While studying was a chore for most of us, it’s quite a different story for Jahan Taab. The 25-year-old from Daikundi, Afghanistan, took an university exam as she nursed her two-month-old.
Inspiring photo from social media: this mother is taking university entrance exam while taking care of her child, in Daikundi. Afghan women are unstoppable. pic.twitter.com/lus0eeuH48

Married to a farmer, Jahan is a young mother of three children. Jahan traveled for six hours to Nilli City for an entrance exam called Kankor. It’s the test necessary to get into the national public university.
Moved by a crosslegged mother who was diligently giving the exam as she nursed and coddled her baby, the professor decided to share the pictures on Twitter.
Wow!
This picture makes us feel better. In order to say no to the ignorance, this #woman in central #Daikundi province of #afg while hugging her child participated in Kankor exam to join university & bring positive changes to her family’s life.

Her perseverance moved thousands of people online, making her a role model for both, men and women. According to reports, she has passed her exam with a bang but might not be able to afford higher education. It’s heartwarming to see the overwhelming support she’s gathered for her cause.
She is #JahanTaab, from Oshto Village of #Daikundi– a poor village without way for 🚘. She passed the kankor Exam by 152 points. She will study sociology in a private university, but she is not sure can she provide the 10k-12k AFN fees for university every semester?. pic.twitter.com/WUoluhZkzO
