And B-town’s current chocolate boy, Kartik Aaryan is all set to play the lead role!
Yes, you heard that right! Kartik Aaryan has signed up to be a part of Aashiqui 3. The project will be directed by Anurag Basu and we can’t wait to see what the third instalment will bring to the table. Hopefully a progressive plot!
The Aashiqui franchise was launched in 1990 starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. It was later revived in 2013 with Aashiqui 2, directed by Mohit Suri, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, and Shraddha Kapoor. In a recent interview, Kartik experssed how happy he was to get this opportunity and said, “The timeless classic Aashiqui is something I grew up watching. And working on Aashiqui 3 is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful for collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.”
