When Shah Rukh Khan said, “I’m the last of the superstars,” he meant it. So imposing is his screen presence that the actor doesn’t need “sattar minutes”. Just a few seconds on the screen and the audience goes gaga after him. Case in point? His much-talked-about cameo in Brahmastra! Over the past three decades, every time SRK has made a cameo, he has managed to get more hoots and claps than the lead actors. Here’s a list of six such films where SRK made a brief appearance but stole the show with “king-size” impact! Read on:
Brahmastra
SRK’s latest cameo in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra has swept the audience off their feet. In just fifteen minutes, the superstar managed to single-handedly walk away with the film. In fact, SRK’s cameo is the reason so many are making their way to the cinemas right now.

After a hiatus of almost four years, fans were pleasantly surprised when Shah Rukh made an appearance in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. Although fleeting, the cameo gained more praise than the movie itself. In the scene, SRK is shown dancing with a young Laal on the terrace. While the film made its best efforts in adapting the classic, Forrest Gump, it was our King Khan that gained the loudest cheer.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Only Shah Rukh Khan can make ek tarfa pyaar sound so beautiful and enchanting. While unrequited love may feel like a dagger in your heart, Shah Rukh’s cameo in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is the band-aid that’ll heal that wound. He plays Saba’s (Aishwarya Rai) ex-husband, Tahir. It is his brief conversation with Ayaan (Ranbir Kapoor) that strikes a chord. “Ek tarfa pyar ki taqat hi kuch aur hoti hai … auron ke rishton ki tarah yeh do logon mein nahi bat’ti … sirf mera haq hai ispe,” Tahir declares in one of the most powerful scenes of the film.
Luck By Chance
Shah Rukh made a cameo as himself in this film and his presence completely moved the audience. When Farhan’s character in Luck By Chance is blinded by fame, he meets SRK at a party and it’s the star’s advice that becomes a turning point in his life. “Never forget people who knew you, especially when the world didn’t,” he says. Damn. Ek hi toh dil hai Shah Rukh, kitni baar jeetoge?
Tubelight
We don’t wanna sound rude but Shah Rukh’s cameo in Salman Khan’s Tubelight was perhaps the only bearable part of the film. He played the role of Goga Pasha, a magician, and he had a spellbinding effect on us. This cameo was also a big deal ‘coz we saw Salman and Shah Rukh reunite onscreen for the first time after fifteen years. It was a full-on Karan-Arjun moment and the audience cheered loudly for the jodi.
Heyy Babyy
The only thing I remember from the movie Heyy Babyy is Shah Rukh’s stunning entry in the song Mast Kalandar. Even Akshay Kumar’s stardom could not compete with SRK’s magnetism in this one. King Khan managed to steal everyone’s thunder in just a matter of seconds.
Well, he is called King Khan for a reason, right? Tell us peeps, which one of these SRK cameos happens to be your favourite?
