Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – November 11, 2022

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Marvel Studios

The first black panther movie had a killer soundtrack and one hell of an artist, Chadwick Boseman. However, his unexpected passing away in 2020 was heart-breaking and felt as a great loss to the film industry, and to the Marvel universe. After this, the studio decided not to recast anyone for his iconic role of T’Challa. Wakanda Forever’s trailer beautifully paid tribute to Boseman and we can see how the movie is going to shape itself in a post T’Challa world. Nearly all of the main characters from the last one are going to be in it, including Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okye and Winston Duke as M’Baku. And we’ll see some new faces too like Michaela Coel as Aneka, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, and Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/ Ironheart.

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, people of Wakanda will try to save their nation against intervening world powers. It’ll be interesting to see how the movie will pan out without King T’Challa.

Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3

Are you ready for some space adventure with the guardians? The film, which was set to start production in 2019, was put on hold due to firing of the film’s director James Gunn. Apparently, his tweets of ‘bad jokes’ resurfaced, which caused quite a stir. Well, looks like James is back to re-direct the movie.

In the first teaser that the studio shared, we saw Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Staffy (Hailee Steinfeld) reuniting with loads of cuteness. However, as soon as Miles jumps out of his window, he is transported to an alternate dimension. This alternate dimension resembles the actual one but looks more hand drawn. Jake Johnson will reprise his role of worn-down version of Spiderman in this, and Issa Rae is casted as Jessia Drew ‘Spider-woman’. The film is broken into two parts, where Across The Spider-Verse will be the first of the lot. Another Oscar in the kitty?

The Flash – June 23, 2023

It’s been a long journey for The Flash, with some major behind the scenes dramas. First the ever-changing screenwriter, directors, and delayed productions. If that was not enough, the film’s lead Ezra Miller, who is set to play a solo role as Barry Allen, got involved in all sorts of legal troubles. But looks like Warner Bros. have decided to keep Ezra very much in the picture and are all set to release the movie in June 2023.

In 2017, the studio revealed that the film will be titled as Flashpoint, an unforgettable event in the comic book where Barry travels backwards in time to save his mother, creating alternate timelines. A sneak peek shared on director Andy Muschietti page shows Barry touching his mother on the shoulders, who is actually dead in his timeline. With Ezra controversies and all sorts of ups and downs, it’ll be interesting to see what they have in store for us.

Till now, El Muerto has remained as an obscure character in the Spiderman comics. For the titular role, the studio has announced getting Bad Bunny on board. He’s a Grammy-winning rapper who enjoys a massive popularity too. The rapper thinks he will fit into the role effortlessly because of his love for wrestling and his stint as a wrestler.

For the unversed, El Muerto is about a superpower wrestler El Muerto aka Juan Carlos Estrada Sanchez who gets his powers from a mask, passed down by his father. El Muerto must fight his oppressor el Dorado in order to remain alive and keep his superpowers. El Muerto then gets into a wrestling ring to fight spiderman and unmask him. However, it is not confirmed if the new movie is going to show El Dardo or the Spiderman himself.

Hence, the character is always hooked up to a support system, which is shaped like a spiderweb. As her condition worsens, she slowly starts developing physic powers which she uses to become a medium.

Dakota Johnson has been cast in for the role of Cassandra Webb aka Madame Web. Along with her Sydney Sweeney, Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott, have been cast for undisclosed roles. More spider-world madness, yass!

We know it won’t be easy to watch anyone else play the iconic role of Captain America other than Chris Evans. In continuation of the storyline in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Malcolm Spellman, the show’s creator and head writer, is back with Captain America: New World Order. The story will show Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, as Captain America. The show, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier left viewers with some unanswered questions, which we are hoping might be answered in the fourth installment of the Captain America movie. The film will also see Sebastian Stan reprise his role of Bucky Branes and will be directed by Julius Onah. The movie is expected to go on floors in May 2024.

If you remember correctly, at the end of the second post credit scene of the Eternals, we see Kit Harrington’s character Dane Whitman looking at the Ebony Blade, indicating his story will lead to the Black Knight. But then we hear a voice, which turns out to be Blade’s. Well, it’ll be interesting to see how the Marvel Universe is going to fit the vampire hunter in the story, just have to wait till 2024.

Deadpool 3 – November 8, 2024

Deadpool 3

When Disney took over Fox and handed over Deadpool to Kevin Feige, fans were a little worried as the R-rated foul-mouthed character might get washed down for the younger audience. But looks like they have no plans of changing Deadpool’s outrageous personality, hell yeah! The film is going to be R-rated and a MCU movie. This time Shawn Levy will be directing the films, who has worked with Ryan in Free Guy and The Adam Project. And we have some good news for Wolverine fans.
