Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are one such B-town couple who radiate happy hormones in us every time we see them together. Ever since they tied the knot, fans cannot wait to see them share screen space and witness their on-screen chemistry. Vicky is currently gearing up for the release of his film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, in which he is paired opposite Sara Ali Khan, who plays his wife. The director of the film, Laxman Utekar, revealed why he didn’t cast Katrina Kaif.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is a romantic comedy set in Indore that follows the lives of a middle-class married couple, Kapil (Vicky) and Somya (Sara), who are seemingly headed for divorce. In a recent interview, Laxman Utekar was asked why he didn’t think of casting Vicky’s real-life wife, Katrina Kaif. To this, the director replied that she wouldn’t have been able to pass off as a “middle-class ghar ki bahu.”
He laughed and said, “I can work with Katrina only if she is able to understand my language. Do you think Katrina will look like a small-town heroine? If we get a good script, I would love to work with Vicky and Katrina.” He added, “I didn’t choose to get her onboard this time because Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is a different space and I personally feel that Katrina’s personality and aura can’t make her look like a middle-class joint family ki bahu.”
Well, it seems like #Vickat fans will have to wait a little longer to see the couple share screen space. Do you know that Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are one of the only B-town couples who have never done a movie together? They never met on a film set or a shoot and literally found their way to each other. Adorable, right? BRB, manifesting a #Vickat movie super soon!
