The White Eye Makeup Trend Is IT-Girl Approved & We Have Proof

The new IT-girl staple has descended upon the scene. It has made every A-lister’s lids its runway and turned their eyebrows into legitimate candidates for the trend from Doja Cat to Dua Lipa, splashes of white are so in. Colour-drenched palettes are contemplating retirement, and jet-black lashes are being exiled. These recent demonstrations have inspired in us a proclivity to fashion our aesthetics with the colour. Here are a couple of celeb-approved ways you can wear the white eye makeup trend. Check ’em out now, now, now!

Celeb-Approved Ways To Wear White Eye Makeup

Doja Cat

Doja Cat’s participation in the trend has announced its arrival on an off-beat part of the face. The singer models razor-thin flicks of white in place of her shaved-off brows. While the lids don’t display any evidence of the trend, Doja’s lashes have been lacquered with splashes of white to further epitomise the relevance of white in the aesthetic.

Here — the trend spills all of its bone-white secrets over the lids. The pigment is bright and unblended, and it’s punctuated by doodles of red that could pass for a Halloween-themed look.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi retires her jet-black flicks for bone-white ones — razor-thin and skinny, they contrast her lashes and compliment her platinum-blonde mane gloriously while playing into the clean-girl aesthetic.

This aesthetic’s pièce de résistance is a streak of white reclining under the eyebrow: straightforward and simple but dramatic enough to deliver a statement, Gigi wore this in conjunction with the softest warm-toned wings on the lids. Brushed-out brows and gloss-laden lips conclude the look glamorously.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa’s iteration of the trend involves drenching the lids up until the brow bone, in a heavy-handed flick of white. The colour pigments the inner corners of her eyes to make them pop.

Model Rosalia’s interpretation of the trend is similar to Dua’s, but it doesn’t spill over onto the brow bone.

Paloma Elsesser

Notice how the colour encircles the eyes in little dots to form a wing? You can wear the trend like this too.

Or, hey, if these are a little much for you, simply draw some attention to the eyes by highlighting your waterline with the colour. So…how are you wearing the trend? Spill.
