When Tiger Shroff Said He Wants A Village Girl As His Wife & Left People Enraged!

From making some WTF statements to his much-talked-about split up with Disha Patani, Tiger Shroff is controversy’s favourite child. The actor made his Bollywood debut with Heropanti in 2014 and made the most WTF statement within a year of his big debut.

While speaking to a leading daily about his film Baaghi, Tiger was questioned about the kind of girl he would like to marry. The actor reportedly replied, “I will get married to a girl from the village. When I reach home, I want a massage so that I can get relaxed. She should stay at home, keep the house clean and give me home-cooked food. I like girls who are the housewife type.”

Tiger’s comment did not go down well with his people for obvious reasons and sparked a major controversy. He received heavy backlash for his sexist viewpoint.

Tiger responded to the people slamming him by tweeting, “I am totally for women’s empowerment and equality and always talk about how they are as strong or stronger than men. I respect my mother and sister too much to say something like that. I know I’m barely a year old in the industry but for those who know me and who have accepted me, you would know. Anyway love always.”

When Tiger Called His Female Co-actors ‘Paddings’

If you think Tiger learned from the backlash to his remark, you are wrong. Cut to 2017, the actor had an interaction with a leading daily for his film Student Of The Year 2. When asked about who his women co-actors were going to be, Tiger replied, “I don’t get involved with the casting at all. I don’t really care about the ‘padding’ around me. It’s the script and my character that matter.” For those who have no clue about the industry phraseology, paddings are butt-pads or a form of cosmetic accessories that are used to make an actor’s butt (or breasts) look well-shaped.

Clearly, Tiger missed the ‘no-sexism’ memo not once, but twice. Here’s hoping he has learnt from his mistakes over the years!
