14 WTF Thoughts I Had While Watching An Episode Of Tejasswi Prakash’s Naagin 6 Without Any Context
I am going to start this piece with a disclaimer: I have not watched a single episode from any season of Naagin ever in my life. The series is currently in its 6th season and somehow escaped my peripheral vision—but today, I finally gave into my love for cringe shows. I sat through an episode of Naagin with zero context and I have a lot of say about this supernatural drama.
Few shows make you ponder over life and its deep mysteries, and then some shows make you feel good about the world. Naagin is neither—instead, it leaves you flabbergasted and a little traumatised.
So, without further ado let’s jump into the madness and let me present my 14 honest thoughts about Naagin.
- There is a woman in a black dress called Nashika and she is threatening everyone, so this must be the villain. But why is she looking like a cheap copy of medusa from Greek mythology?
- Oh god, this is no joke, she is based on Medusa! As someone obsessed with Greek mythology, I am personally offended.
- So, there is another woman called Mehak, who has allegedly opened a portal to the land of evil snakes aka laal manzar and is seeking revenge on her younger sister Pratha.
- I just spotted the OG Komolika here! Hello there Urvashi Dholakia, nice to see you on screen.
- So, Pratha or OG Snake queen tries to save her army from Nashika and kills her somehow. Honestly, I didn’t understand a lot here, there was too much VFX and I got distracted.
- There is a man who doesn’t do anything in this show and he is the Shesh Naag and all women fan over him. Exactly like any typical F-boy, right?
- Mehak marries Shesh Naag but he was supposed to be celibate *cue dramatic music*. Why did he not resist? I mean Mehak didn’t even force him to marry, so why is playing the victim in front of Pratha?
- Now Mehak is the Shesh Naag Rani and Pratha has to protect her as per the norms of the Naag kingdom. Wow, I can almost feel my brain cells dying.
- I wonder how these people do all of this so seriously. I would have laughed in every scene, maybe that’s why I am not an actor. BRB, sobbing in a corner thinking about my life.
- Apparently, Pratha had a baby who died after the birth but *plot twist* it didn’t. Now Mehak just told her that she has her baby.
- NGL, Pratha is dumb. She not only believed Mehak but also started following her into a random cave. Babe, when will you learn that Mehak is never up to any good?
- Pratha is captured and she is dying. Also, India’s Independence Day is in jeopardy. This is some random last-minute twist to the story and I am not feeling it.
- Will I ever get these 45 minutes back?
- Why is Shesh Naag so annoying? Why is Pratha so dumb? Why is Mehak…No, she is kinda funny and at least has a personality.
After successfully investing my time in the show, I am pretty sure that I will never give it another shot. One episode was awful enough and I won’t be returning for seconds!
