Vicky Kaushal has heightened our josh ever since he essayed the role of Major Vihan Singh in Uri: The Surgical Strike. The actor started his Bollywood journey with Masaan and won our hearts with his remarkable acting skills in Raazi, Sanju and Manmarziyaan. And now for the first time ever, Vicky is all set to foray into the horror genre. The actor will be seen in Bhoot Part One – The Haunted Ship.
Vicky took to his Twitter feed to share the first poster of the film and we bet it will spook the guts out of you. He wrote, “Nothing haunts you more than reality. Presenting #Bhoot Part One – The Haunted Ship, directed by @Bps_91. In cinemas 15th November 2019. @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @shashankkhaitan @DharmaMovies”

Directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh and produced by Dharma Movies along with Shashank Khaitan and Apoorva Mehta, the film is a true story starring Vicky and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.
Dharma movies shared a few stills from the film. In one of them, we can see Vicky holding an axe and in another, he’s seen looking around with a torch in his hand. The images will intrigue you and send chills down your spine.
In an interaction with a leading daily, producer Shashank Khaitan said, “Karan Johar loved it. Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship is based on a true incident that took place in Bombay. The shooting is complete. The post-production is underway and the film will open in cinemas on November 15 this year. The intent is to create a series. We’re looking at making more authentic films, even horror comedies. Bhanu and I have discussed a few ideas. It’s an exciting time to take the franchise ahead.”
Karan Johar, in an interview with a leading daily, revealed, “Shashank introduced me to Bhanu, who truly fascinated me. He was extremely passionate about the horror genre and wanted to direct this particular brand of cinema. Horror is a massively successful genre worldwide and I was excited to begin Dharma’s first franchise. Bhoot is the first part of our horror franchise and we are beginning our journey with the exceptionally talented Vicky Kaushal.”
Not many know that Vicky fractured his cheekbones about two months ago while shooting for Bhoot. According to a report in a leading daily, Vicky got 13 stitches after a door fell on him. The scene was being shot on an unused ship by the sea in the town of Alang, where the actor sustained his injury.
