Varun Dhawan Remembers Sidharth Shukla With A Heartfelt Caption & We Are So Emotional

In 2014, when Sidharth Shukla made his Bollywood debut with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, everyone was left impressed by his charming persona. His screen presence had everyone talking and we knew that better, bigger things were waiting for Sid and that proved to be right. In 2020, Sidharth clinched the Bigg Boss 13 trophy which was again a proof of how much he was loved by the audience. Following his Bigg Boss victory, we got to see a lot of the actor. He appeared in a number of music videos and rumours were rife that he’d be soon making a grand Bollywood appearance. However, all our hopes came crashing down when we heard of Sidharth’s unfortunate demise in September 2021. It has been almost a year and we still can not believe that Sid is no more. And it is not just us. Everyone is struggling with the fact that he is long gone including his co-star Varun Dhawan.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania marked eight years of its release yesterday and Varun posted about it on social media. With a bitter sweet caption, the actor talked about how he is thankful that the film let him work with the beautiful person that was Sidharth Shukla. “8 years of #humptysharmakidhulania a very special film but today I remember it for the time I got to spend with sid on the film. He was kind-hearted, protective and always passionate about work and friends,” he wrote.

To mark eight years of the film, Varun also shared a picture of him with Sid and wrote “Miss you Sid. Still can not believe you are not here with us.”

Eveything that Varun has written resonates with us. During Sid’s Bigg Boss 13 journey, we all witnessed what a gem of person he was and guess, it will take us forever to accept that we will not be seeing his bright, beautiful smile on our TV screens ever again. We miss you, Sid!
