Arjun Kapoor Admits Starting A ‘We Hate Katrina’ Club & The Reason Is Shocking

One such moment was when Katrina Kaif shared how Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan started a “We Hate Katrina” club. We were extremely curious about what Katrina could have done to inspire such a club, and now we are thrilled to know that finally one of the co-founders has spilled the tea — and the reason is not what we were expecting.

In a recent interview, Arjun Kapoor admitted that he and Varun did indeed create a club by that name. However, it wasn’t actually a hate club; it was formed out of lighthearted frustration. Known for her blunt and straightforward personality, Katrina was sometimes a bit intimidating to her friends. Arjun and Varun felt they didn’t receive much attention from her at the time, leading them to start the club — which, as it turns out, was just a short-lived, playful expression among friends.

Speaking about it, Arjun said, “We used to have a ‘We hate Katrina fan club’ which got shut down very fast because we actually didn’t hate her. We were just upset that she used to be very straightforward with us. She used to fire us all the time; she used to not give us any importance.”

He further added, “I think Katrina came into her own when she did Race, the songs, the way she did them. Also because she is a friend, I could see that film really changed the way you see before how she was in songs and she worked really hard in Race.”
