This Celeb Bride Accused Wedding Guest For Leaking Her Private Moments

Every woman, irrespective of what part of the world she belongs to, fantasises about the perfect wedding. Ushna Shah, a Pakistani TV actress, had similar plans for her special day, but it was (almost) ruined by some unexpected guests. In Indian culture, it is often said, “Mehmaan bhagwan hota hai (Guests should be treated like God).” But what happens when the mehmaan fails to recognise boundaries? 

Ushna Shah recently got married to a golfer, Hamza Amin. She invited AB Lakhani, a fashion blogger and editor, to her wedding as a courtesy. She had known him for years and he happened to be in the office where the invitations were designed. Little did she know that this guest had some other plans for her wedding. 

Ushna’s invitation clearly stated, “We are looking forward to welcoming you wholeheartedly. Due to limited capacity, however, we regretfully will not be able to accommodate plus-ones. Thank you for understanding.” He was also asked not to share any photos or videos of personal moments during the ceremony. Mr Lakhani simply ignored the request, bringing along not only his wife but also a photographer and a drone operator. Guts!

The drone was hovering loudly next to the bride’s head during the signing and when questioned, AB Lakhani told the bride’s family that she had asked him to bring them. Without Ushna’s permission, the photos were then posted and distributed.

Trolled For Wearing Red

Unfortunately, invasion of privacy was not Ushna’s only ordeal on her special day. The actress was also mocked for wearing a red bridal lehenga and dancing at the wedding reception. Trolls called her out for disrespecting Pakistani culture. Ushna slammed the trolls on her Instagram story, stating, “You weren’t invited, nor did you pay for my shade of red.” 

Well, I think Ushna looked stunning in her bridal lehenga, which was designed by the Pakistani label Warda Saleem. Check out their beautiful wedding video, which will make you say “mashallah”:

I’m glad Ushna managed to pull off her dream wedding despite all the obstacles she faced. She is one strong bride!
