There are a few Bollywood films that change the way we look at life. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is one of them. The coming-of-age drama made its way to every millennial and Gen Z’s heart and we are yet to get over it. Recently, I stumbled upon a few unseen photos from the film’s shoot and it is like stepping into a time machine.

Isn’t Deepika looking like a total stunner? Everyone was obsessed with the Naina Talwar’s style after the film came out.

I can’t get over how cute Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone look in these pictures! Clearly, it was a crazy experience for the cast. 

Here’s a fun tidbit about the film—it was a big hassle to take food to that height when the team was shooting in Manali, so everyone had to survive on eggs and instant noodles for a few days.

In a November 2022 interview, YJHD filmmaker Imtiaz Ali talked about the shoot and said, “They (Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone) will do a scene like a scene, not like an extension of their personal life. There were a lot of things which people could have felt, that ‘Oh they have a past’, but on set–or even when the camera was switched off–there was no such thing.”

BRB, I am rewatching Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani right away. These pictures are making me nostalgic.
