After the news of the coronavirus outbreak in China broke, the entire world started practising at least minor coronavirus precautions. People were discouraged from shaking hands, in order to prevent the spread of the virus, and Britain’s Prince Charles, set a good example by replacing his polite handshake with the humble ‘namaste’.
Unfortunately, all those ‘namastes’ could not keep the present heir to the British throne safe from the virus. On Wednesday, Clarence House confirmed that the 71-year-old has tested positive for COVID-19.
Reportedly, he had displayed “mild symptoms” on Sunday and was then tested on Monday, with the results coming through late on Tuesday night. Clarence House further confirmed that the Prince “otherwise remains in good health” and has been self-isolating in Scotland with the Duchess of Cornwall–who has tested negative for coronavirus.

If you’re worried about the Queen, then don’t be. Buckingham Palace confirmed that Queen Elizabeth last saw her son on March 12, but was “in good health”. The palace added that the Duke of Edinburgh was not present at that meeting and that the Queen was now “following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare”.
Well, one thing’s for sure–the virus doesn’t discriminate. And if the British royals aren’t safe, is anyone? Meanwhile, in Delhi, 5 new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in 24 hours, and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has urged residents to strictly follow the lockdown restrictions.
So please stay home and practice social distancing to keep yourself safe, because remember, no people=no coronavirus.
