India is home to a lot of cities, different cultures and languages. From Jammu and Kashmir to Tamil Nadu – every city has a different vibe. It is almost like we can relate to these places and talk to them. I personally love the vibe in Delhi and Goa. While sitting in my balcony in the national capital, I feel like I am around a woman in twenties who is figuring out life and when I am lying on the beach in Goa, I feel like I am with a bunch of friends who are living life there’s no tomorrow!
Wondering why we are equating cities to humans? Well, netizens took to Twitter to describe their cities as if they were people and we have some beautiful results.
The credit goes to a woman who shared a quote by artist John Berger about how different cities have a specific age, sex, and a story to tell.
“Every city has a sex and an age which have nothing to do with demography. Rome is feminine. So is Odessa. London is a teenager, an urchin, and in this hasn’t changed since the time of Dickens. Paris, I believe, is a man in his twenties in love with an older woman.”
Now, let’s take a look at how innovatively the different cities in India were described. We’ll go from north to south!
