10 Times In Life It’s Totally OKAY To Have ‘High Standards’!

Who says having high expectations is a bad thing? Having high standards and being high maintenance are two very different things and ladies, it’s time for us to understand this. Here are 10 times in life you should have high standards!

1. When picking your career

You need to aim high when deciding what your profession should be. Along with a well structured plan for the next five years. That also means you can (and should) take your time to figure things out instead of making a hasty decision.

2. When choosing your life partner

This is one of the most important decisions you will make in your life and there is no reason why you should settle for anything less than the best. It’s about the rest of your life, so you need to think it through.

3. When deciding on your lifestyle, post-marriage

Choosing the right partner is not always enough. You also need to make sure that love doesn’t lower the expectations you have from your life.

4. The people you confide in

You can’t and should not confide in people you can’t trust. Even when it’s an old friend, it’s okay not to tell them about every part of your life.

5. When you plan a surprise for your loved ones

Because the people you love deserve all the perfection in the world… and even more!

6. When chasing your dreams

Don’t let anybody tell you that you don’t deserve what you want – not even yourself. When it comes to your dreams, focus and never ever lower your standards!

7. When spending on food

Let’s just say food is something worth having high standards for. After all, your body needs a proper balance of nutrition and taste. Also because food is our one true BAE!

8. When someone takes you for granted

The people who love you realise how important you are to them. So, in case, you feel someone is taking you for granted, it’s time to walk out of that relationship because you deserve more, always.

9. When making new friends

It’s completely okay to not become friends with people in a New York minute. There is a difference between being friendly and actually opening up to somebody in your life. Get comfortable before you actually put that person in your trust circle.

10. When helping others make a decision

While you might be very careful when making decisions for yourself, it is equally important to have high standards when making a decision for others. This could include helping your bestie make a decision about her career or a man in her life. It’s ten times more tough when you’re helping someone else, so be careful!
