Weddings these days are all about the personal touch. From hashtags, decor to wedding films, couples want a touch of themselves in every aspect of their wedding. And why wouldn’t they- it’s their special day after all. Brides wear customised latkans on their lehengas and are going beyond the classic peacock and ambi designs in their mehendi for something that depicts their love story. While we’ve seen all that–this is something we probably haven’t.
Bride, Barkha wore a customised nath with her husband’s name on it, and we can’t stop staring. Designed by Raabta By Rahul, this one is all about the love and dedication partners have for each other.
The nath made in gold had pearl detailing and Kundan work on it to bring the entire piece together.
Barkha and her husband, Kaustubh, are both commercial pilots and their love story started back in the flight academy. It was her who wooed him. Their wedding hashtag #BarkhalandedKaustubh is dedicated to their in-flight pyaar too. Awww, this feels like that typical Bollywood love saga.
Their wedding was a dreamy sunset ceremony in Goa where the bride wore a pastel pink lehenga for the occasion. Kaustubh chose a baby blue sherwani with white embroidery contrasting the dulhan’s outfit perfectly.
Barkha also broke (fashion) rules by adding a train to her lehenga! She decided to attach a long dupatta to her lehenga, pinned into her bun, giving the illusion of a gorgeous train and we can’t get over how amazing it looks.
We are also loving the pink roses in her hair. As for her makeup, Barkha went for a bronzed look, winged liner, pink eyeshadow, and a soft pink lip. Wow! Just the perfect look for a beach wedding.
For her mehendi, Barkha wore a Sabyasachi lehenga with intricate zari work. The skirt was a dark shade of green paired with a mustard blouse. The groom too wore a green bandh gala to colour-coordinate his outfit with hers and the two looked absolutely gorgeous.
Just look at this stunning bride. Hai nazar na lage!
Not just the mehendi and wedding, their pre-wedding photoshoot was also one for the ages. Dedicating it to their courtship and relationship, which started out because of their love for flying; their shoot was done in Iceland.
If you’re thinking why this looks a little too familiar, it is because Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol filmed the song Gerua for Dilwale here. We told you there’s is a perfect Bollywood wala ishq.
A special shoutout to Divine Mantra for capturing these beyond beautiful photos for Kaustubh and Barkha, kudos you guys! Here’s wishing the couple that your smiles stay as wide and your love still larger than life. Congrats! ❤
