I was in Goa a few weeks ago, to celebrate my dad’s birthday and I had the most leisurely and relaxing holiday: salty hair, a summer tan and tons of memories! I’ve visited Goa with my friends before and those trips have always been about party-hopping, but this time I came back with a very different perspective of this beachy state: spectacular food, super clean beaches and the serene, salty sea.
My list of ‘Must-Do’s’ next time you’re on holiday in Goa
1. For a super romantic, delicious and candlelit meal
Greek food at Thalassa is a must! Although if you go for dinner, you will miss the beautiful day view – it’s gorgeous either way.
2. For European food on the beach
La Plage is as picturesque as it gets! Picture your legs being immersed in the warm sand while you gorge on your scrumptious meal. Top tip: The risotto was heavenly!
3. For Italian food followed by even better dessert
Visit Ciao Bella for the freshest ravioli, yummy mushroom penne and their special in-house gelato-biscotti!
4. For a truly Goan vibe
Go to Baba Au Rhum for a laid-back meal! It has the best cheeseburgers and pizzas
5. For amazing Kerala food
Do not miss out on Gunpowder.
6. For a day-time drinking affair
Nothing beats Marbella, a stunning beach bar with great music to dance to and white cabana’s to curl up in at the days end.
7. For a scenic ocean dip
Ashwem beach (this is where La Plage is) is one of the cleanest beaches in Goa. Just a handful of people and Gopal’s shack, next door, has some yum Nutella crepes too!
Enjoy!!!
