8 Ways You Can Keep Your Vagina Looking And Feeling Happy!

Keep in mind that vaginas age too and lack of taking proper hygiene measures, following a healthy diet and indulging in beauty treatments, will cause yeast infections, itchiness and inflammation down there.

1. Aloe Loves You

If you’ve ever gotten a bikini wax, you’d know what follows after. Tiny red bumps and itchiness! If you’ve just gotten one and are new to waxing in general, do not use cream to soothe the area, use aloe gel! Unlike cream, aloe gel is not sticky and does a fantastic at soothing and calming freshly-waxed skin. Remember, aloe gel takes 5-10 minutes to sink into your skin completely. After that, you can wear your underwear.

2. Eat Your Fermented Vegetables!

Fermented vegetables like sauerkraut and kimchi are rich in lactobacilli. This helps to get rid of ALL the bad bacteria in the vagina. Thus making it a safe and healthy place for good bacteria to reside.

3. Meet, Feminine Wipes!

Feminine wipes are great to carry when you’re travelling. Depending on the place of visit, not all loos are equipped with clean toilet paper or bathroom spray guns, hence, feminine wipes will come to your rescue here. They not only keep your vajajay clean but also protect it from getting an infection.

4. Oil For Your Pubes

While there a few women who like to keep the area down there clean and hairless, another bunch of ’em, pretty much like to keep it natural. At the end of the day, it is a personal choice. It’s best to use oils like coconut and almond to keep the lawn smooth and soft. Keeping the area hydrated will also minimize the chance of skin darkening and chafing. Use your fingertips to massage the oil into your pube area as it will promote hair growth and boost blood circulation in the groin area.

5. Vitamin C Has Superpowers!

During the day, make sure that you are consuming foods that are rich in Vitamin C. Lemons, cranberries, oranges, broccoli, kale, kiwi, cauliflower, papaya – all of these have your vaginas best interests in mind. They help fight free radicals, remove deadly toxins and maintain the vagina’s natural pH levels.

6. Heard of Omega-3?

Foods that are rich in Omega-3 will not only brighten up your complexion but also ensure the smooth functioning of the vagina. Make sure that your diet contains flaxseeds, sardines, salmon, walnuts and chia seeds. This helps to prevent bad vaginal odour, promote blood circulation and boost your libido.

7. Get Naked!

We bet you probably know the beauty benefits of sleeping naked, just a tiny reminder – your vagina loves it when you sleep without your clothes on. It gets a chance to breathe and protects itself from getting a yeast infection.

8. Exfoliate

Much like any other part of your body, your vagina also needs a little TLC. Use a gentle body scrub every few days to exfoliate and get rid of dead skin cell build-up. This will also help brighten up the area and keep that pesky ingrown hair in check. Don’t forget to moisturise after!

At the end of the day, it’s all about loving and caring for your vagina. It’s part of you and it depends on you to take care of it.
