Everything A Bride Needs To Know Before Her First Bikini Wax!

A bikini wax can be a big deal when you haven’t undergone it before. Now, if it’s your first time and you want to be all ‘smooth and supple’ just in time for your wedding, you need to be extra careful about critical things. It’s not like shaving, so you need to adapt to the waxing cycle. Not only that, you’ll have to take certain precautions to avoid any nasty reactions after! But don’t sweat, it’s all worth it. We are here to tell you all that you need to know if you’re a bikini wax virgin. Read on…

1. Let the growth begin

This is essential; before you take the plunge, you need to grow out your pubic hair. Because if there’s no substantial amount of hair in the area, the wax just won’t work. So don’t go if you have just shaved. Trust us, it will lead to no good.

2. Do it early

Always get the wax done 2-3 days before your wedding day to give any skin rash or redness that may appear in the area a chance to go down. You don’t want to look all raw in your sexy bridal lingerie.

3. Find a salon you trust

Find a salon where you feel comfortable and one that you trust completely. Inexperienced staff can cause you pain, and unhygienic products can give you infections, so don’t saunter into just any dodgy parlour.

4. Wear comfy clothing

When going for a bikini wax, wear something comfortable. A pair of jeans is a strict no-no as the ruggedness of the fabric would lead to skin irritation. Loose palazzos or even a skirt would be ideal as it keeps off the area and lets enough air to circulate.

5. Keep a painkiller handy

Most salons use a numbing cream, but if the pain is unbearable, then it’s always a good idea to keep a painkiller handy. Specially if your pain threshold isn’t very high.

6. It hurts, but the pain is worth it!

No matter how much pain you have gone through, the results will make you forget it all! You’ll probably have to repeat the procedure every 3-4 weeks or whenever you feel necessary.
