Winter is just around the corner and so is the time to take out your woollens. While trends keep on changing each season, it’s also important to include separates in your wardrobe that go a long way, i.e can be reworn and are conscious about the environment. With that in mind and the predictions based on international catwalks included, we rounded up the major trends for the colder months to help you elevate your look. Don’t worry, they don’t require you to break the bank either!
The Raging Winter Trends To Know Ahead Of The Season
Scroll to take a look at the trends that will be all over your feeds (and possibly your closets) come winter!
The Skirt Suit
From Miu Miu to Hermès and closer home, preferred by the likes of Sonam Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, the skirt suit and its popularity know no boundaries. There are plenty of options in styling too; pick a matching look with the same pattern or mix and match to give it a distinctive spin— a blazer and a skirt are all you need to go all out!
Faux-Leather Separates
Faux leather takes an environment-friendly approach, meaning you can be at ease about the products being cruelty-free. Further, faux-leather separates are something you can wear only during the colder season, especially if you wish to avoid feeling uncomfortable in the sweltering heat. Be it pants and jackets or skirts with an edge, there is a lot to explore and add to the closet.
The Cinched Blazer
The blazer has long held on to its repute of being a wardrobe staple and given its versatile, classic status, there is no denying it. This season, the runways of famed luxury houses like Prada saw cinched waists that gave the classic a fresh look, one that you can wear just about anywhere, much like Sonam Kapoor who has tried the styling trick several times. Sprucing up has never been chicer!
Uber-Cool Knits
The upcoming season couldn’t be complete without winter woollies, read chunky knits and pops of colour. Case in point: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s easy outerwear, a snug option that can be teamed with basic jeans and skirts alike. Just like this barely-there sweater trend that is huge in Bollywood. We don’t know about you but knits are one winter trend that are definitely on our radar.
The Fringe Game
Oh, fringe! There is no missing out on the stellar look that maximalist love to include in their wardrobes and thanks to presentations across Bottega Veneta, Burberry and more, it’s going to be a huge winter trend to look forward too. Add a layer underneath your front-open jackets and overcoats, much like Janhvi Kapoor. And don’t forget to tick off the right boxes with your beauty look too!
Statement Sleeves
There is no denying the drama that statement sleeves bring to the sartorial front and obviously, we are more than elated that the experimental look is one that’s being predicted as a major one for winter. From warm outerwear that incorporates it to lightweight versions you can don when it’s still not too cold, everything goes.
A Scarlet Affair
And finally, a monochrome look. Just like Karisma Kapoor’s look, monochrome head-to-toe outfits are a winner in terms of upcoming winter trends. Just add layers to keep it cosy and don’t forget to add a bit of drama to your hands too. Find what we are talking about below!
