Wellness Wednesday: The Only Face Packs You Need To Make RN For Clear & Glowing Skin!

Face packs can become your skin’s best friend during the 21-day lockdown. While it sure is a bummer that you cannot step out of your home during this time, there’s also some good that comes out such a situation. The world is healing (air and pollutions levels have dropped worldwide) and so is our skin. Since we’re now indoors, our skin does not have to deal with clogged pores due to dirt and pollution in the air or suffer from UV radiation on a daily basis – our skin can finally breathe. Right now, you can take a break from makeup and just focus on skincare. If you haven’t been moisturising enough, do it now. If you haven’t been drinking enough water, do it now. If you haven’t been following a basic CTM routine, by all means, do that also now. Think of this situation as an opportunity for your skin to heal and repair itself. One way to make sure that it gets its nourishment is to make a face pack of it using power ingredients mostly found around your home.

You’ll need three basic ingredients for this face pack – papaya, turmeric powder and rose water. While papaya pulp helps to clear your skin from pesky blemishes and pigmentation, turmeric helps to soothe your skin from conditions like rosacea and eczema and keeps the acne at bae. Rosewater, on the other hand, keeps the skin’s pH levels in check and contains anti-inflammatory properties which help to reduce redness.

Step 1: In a bowl, add 1 spoon of papaya pulp, turmeric and rose water.

Step 2: Use a spoon to mix all the ingredients until you’re left with a thick paste.

Step 3: Use a facemask brush to apply the paste on your face and neck.

Step 4: Leave the pack on for 10 minutes and later wash it off with lukewarm water.

Step 5: Pat your skin dry and follow it up with a moisturiser.

For best results, apply this twice a week.

For dull, tired skin, you need a face pack these power ingredients like – oatmeal, rose water, sweet almond oil, rose petals. White oatmeal helps in absorbing excess oil, almond oil helps to reverse sun damage, improve skin’s complexion and reduces dark circles. Crushed rose petals contain natural oils that help promote glowing, dewy skin.

Step 1: In a bowl, add 2 tbsp of oatmeal, 2 tbsp of rose water, 3-4 drops of almond oil, half teaspoon of turmeric.

Step 2: Apply to damp skin and use fingertips to massage the mix in circular motions.

Step 3: Do this for 5 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.

Step 4: Don’t forget to moisturise!

For best results, apply this once a week.

Honey, oatmeal and bananas work wonders when teamed together. If your skin has started to feel rough and dry, you need this face pack in your life. While honey helps to lock in the moisture, oatmeal gets rid of blackheads and whiteheads. Not to mention that bananas help to smoothen and rejuvenate the skin

Step 1: Cut one banana into small pieces and use the backend of your spoon to mash it into a paste.

Step 2: Drizzle 1 tbsp of honey over it and add half a cup of oatmeal to it.

Step 3: Mix all the ingredients and later, apply it to your skin and do not wash it off for 15 minutes.

Step 4: Pat dry and apply a moisturiser.

For best results, apply this once a week.

Easy, simple and doable, right? Which of these face packs are you going to try on first? I’m sure you’ll try all of ’em!
