At some point or the other, we all have tried to snip off the frayed ends ourselves, only to have them re-appear a month or two after. Not only do split ends compromise the health of our hair shaft, but also diminish its luster and shine.

The Ultra-Nourishing Mask

Step 1: Cut the avocado into two halves and remove the pit. Add it to a bowl and mash it using a fork.

Step 2: Next add 1 cup of yogurt to the same bowl and mix it thoroughly until the consistency seems fine. Now apply this smooth, creamy paste to your hair and let it sit for  40-45 minutes. Wash thoroughly with a sulfate-free shampoo and follow it up with your conditioner. 

To Be Egg-Xact

Step 1: First, separate the egg white and retain the yolk in a bowl.

Step 2: Whisk the egg yolk and add 2to 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of honey to it. Apply onto wet hair and leave for about 30 minutes before rinsing it off.

Step 1: To a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of raw organic honey along with 3 tablespoons of olive oil

Step 2: Apply the mixture to your hair after shampooing. Leave for about 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse it off with a nourishing sulfate-free shampoo and repeat the process at least once a week for best results.

The Citrusy DIY

Step 1: Take a banana and mash it in a small bowl. 

Step 2: Add 1 tablespoon of lemon, 2 tablespoons of yogurt, and 1 tablespoon of rose water to the bowl. Apply to your hair and leave for about 30 minutes before rinsing it off with a shampoo. Use this mask at least once a week for best results.

Step 1: To a bowl, add 4 tablespoons of mashed papaya with 2 tablespoons of yogurt.

Step 2: Mix the ingredients until the consistency seems fine. Apply this mask to your hair, slap on a shower cap, and leave it on for around 25-30 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo as usual.
