Tejasswi Prakash Just Opened Up About Receiving Hate Comments For This Reason & We’re Shook
It’s no secret that celebs are subjected to unwarranted trolling all the time. They’re constantly mocked for their outfits, relationships, and work. But the most disturbing bit is when they are ridiculed for their looks or body type. ‘Too fat’, ‘too thin’, ‘too tall’, ‘too short’—it’s like the trolls have a compulsive need to label and celebs become their easy targets. Bigg Boss 15 winner, Tejasswi Prakash is the latest one to open up about her ordeal with the same.
In a recent interview with a leading daily, the actress revealed that she used to receive negative comments for being too thin. She shared, “This body-shaming doesn’t only happen with people who are overweight. It happens with people who are thin too. I was also receiving negative comments because I was underweight.”
Tejasswi further shared that she has always focussed on self-love and never let such comments get under her skin. “I’ve always been a woman who has been extremely proud of how my body is or the way I was made by god. That’s how he wanted me to be. If people don’t like it I can’t help it, it is not in my hands to go and correct these things. It is very important for women to love themselves. If you don’t love yourself and the way your body is and you keep doing things to yourself, then how do you expect anybody else to love you,” she added.
Well, wouldn’t it be nice if these trolls could mind their goddamn business for a change? That said, we gotta give it to Tejasswi for always being such a sport and spreading the positive message on self-love and acceptance.
