Tamannaah Bhatia’s Pastel Look From Cannes Day 1 Is Making Us Go, ‘Why So Safe, Girl?!’

It’s Day 1 of the Cannes Film Festival 2022 and our desi girls are busy painting the town green, quite literally! Moments ago, we spotted Deepika Padukone in a glorious green fit and now it is Tamannaah Bhatia sauntering the Cannes street in a softer version of the colour. However, the similarities between Deepika and Tamannaah’s looks stop just there. Here’s why we have our reservations about the Baahubali actress’s pastel pantsuit:

Nice, But Not Enough

Tamannaah’s debut look featured pastel green flared pants and a matching oversized jacket by Bershka. The tailored fit was paired with a lilac bodysuit featuring a plunging neckline. Now, this is a great suit and we love the summer-appropriate hue. The pastel contrast has our approval too. However, it is the questionable finish of Tamannaah’s bodysuit that is not sitting right with us. The lace trims on the neckline look like they would have better suited, say, a casual beach look. The risqué neckline does not belong either. It isn’t exactly a #FashionFail but kuch toh kami hai.

Not to mention, a pantsuit is the safest choice one can make at an International event. Sadly, ‘safe’ can never be a winning look.

That said, we do love Tamannaah’s bright pink eyes and carefully tousled hairdo. They add a touch of freshness to the already summery look.

Here’s hoping that the actress dares to step out of her comfort zone for her subsequent Cannes looks.
