What Makes Taimur India’s Favourite Baby, According To Daddy Dearest, Saif Ali Khan Himself!

There is nobody in the country who hasn’t yet given in to this adorable toddler’s charms. The 1-year-old heartthrob (yes!) is already famous for all the right reasons and even has several fan accounts all across social media platforms, at the age of one! But daddy dearest had a few words to say about Taimur’s die-hard following and the undivided attention he receives from the nation. “He is a blue-eyed boy. He is a genetic treasure trove, he is. He has got a bit of Rabindranath Tagore, he is a bit of Raj Kapoor, a bit of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, a little bit of Bhopal. It’s beyond me. He’s gone. Let’s see what happens,” Saif said during his interview with Rajeev Masand and Anupama Chopra.

Saif and Kareena know very well of the role this stardom is going to play in the future, Taimur will always be surrounded by the cameras and will never be subjected to a dull moment. “Kareena and I knew there would be media interest in our son. It’s hard to bring up kids without the attention; I don’t know how he is going to react to the attention when he grows up. Taimur has just started his life. It’s important for us to make sure he grows up to be a balanced person. Hopefully, he will get used to it; I don’t think he knows any better. He knows there are cameras pointing at him all the time.”

The couple is adamant on bringing Taimur up the right way, they know they’ll have to put in an extra effort to give him a normal childhood, this is what Saif had to say, “You have to sit him down, the minute he can understand it. And it’ll start with calling the people at home and not yelling. It’ll be manners, it’ll be ‘Please, Thank You, Aadaab’. It’ll be discipline from young age. At least we know these things. These Bombay kids are out of control. He’ll be very well behaved. And honestly, if he does his ‘namaste’ right, he’ll score points. Have you seen Sara’s aadaab when she was younger? This is it. This is what we need, a nice aadaab from Tim. Tim by the way.” 

And that ladies and gentlemen, is how Saif Ali Khan introduced us to the golden child’s nickname! After Bebo and Lolo, Tim might have just topped the list.
