Swara Bhasker Defends Kareena & Taimur Against Trolls, Proves She’s A Great Friend To The Family
Considering the unrest this country is facing, what made you think celebrities would be spared the hate? Since Kareena Kapoor isn’t on any social media websites, Swara Bhasker took the liberty to post a picture of Kareena on her accounts in support of the Kathua rape case.
However, what followed was a swarm of hate messages and comments questing Kareena’s morals and ethics for marrying a Muslim man and naming her son Taimur. Here is one Twitter thread on which Swara replied.
Swara immediately rose in defence of her co-actor and friend, being brutally honest about her feelings.
Another person, this time director and screenwriter, Vivek Agnihotri criticised the move and indulged in general whataboutery, trivialising the issue at hand and to ask actresses to stop acting in movies which portray them as sex objects. Mind you, this is coming from the director of Hate Story.
Swara really couldn’t have said it better!
We all need a friend like Swara – one who will stand up for the right thing, always! Swara and Kareena are all set to appear together in Veere Di Wedding, scheduled for release on 1st June and we just can’t wait for this girl gang.
