“To do nothing is often the best course of action… but history was not made by people who did nothing” – The Crown
Cast, stars and honoured guests arrived for the second coronation of Netflix’s show, The Crown as it takes royal residence (temporary) in Leicester Square’s Odeon theatre. If you’ve been following the series, you would know that it was the final walk for Claire Foy and Matt Smith (who play Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip respectively) as their roles will be taken over by a new monarchy in the next season.
Amongst the stars who graced the red carpet, were our Indian fashion royalty, Swara Bhaskar and Masaba who attended the premiere of season 2 on Tuesday. Dressed to regally impress in two achromatic outfits.
Swara donned a sheer all-white gown with a see-through white dupatta from Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Her stylist Chandini Whabi paired the attire with diamond earrings from Chopard and a beaded box clutch from Malini Agarwalla. A sleek hairdo with a middle parting by Natalia Souza and minimal makeup by Scarlett Rainer Monks finished her Grecian goddess look.
Masaba, on the other hand, picked a black and white saree gown from her own brand. Her look was contrasted with emerald and diamond layered neckpieces from Amrapali Jewels and Chopard. Masaba’s make-up artist Mira Parmar, just like Swara, kept the shades neutral while giving the designer a bronzed look. Although Masaba’s silver sandals act as a distraction for eyes from a perfectly paired ensemble but we have to say, she knows how to pull off those drapes!
