Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise left his fans and family in shock after his death by suicide on June 14. His fans have been eagerly waiting to see him on screen again ever since it was announced that his last film, Dil Bechara will be released on Disney + Hotstar on July 24. On Monday, the makers of the film finally unveiled the trailer that takes you through emotional highs and lows in just a little over two minutes.
The film, which is based on John Green’s novel The Fault In Our Stars, is about two teens bonding over movies and music, and eventually fall in love with each other. The trailer starts with Sanjana introducing her character Kizzie Basu, who has been battling cancer. Enter Manny (Sushant’s character), the happy-go-lucky person, who brings a ray of hope and positivity in her life. The trailer of the film is sure to make Sushant’s fans emotional but at the same time, his cute one liners like I am a serial killer, you are a serial kisser’ will make you laugh.
Sushant’s character in this film reveals that he had a brush of osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, but he is a ‘fighter’ now. He is the one adding colours to Kizzie’s dreams by being the stronger one in the relationship.
The main antagonist of the film, however, is Kizzie’s illness and the trailer shows a lot of tear-jerking moments between the two, which made us miss Sushant even more. In the bittersweet journey of life, Manny’s efforts to woo Kizzie are some of the most adorable moments in the trailer.

From visiting Paris together to ensuring she laughs her heart out, Manny tries to fulfil everything Kizzie wants before their love story comes to an end. Sushant’s Dil Bechara is all about love, enduring loss and living life to the fullest, and watching this movie will be too hard for his fans. One of Sushant’s dialogues that stands out in the trailer is ‘Janam kab lena hai aur marna kab hai, hum decide nahi kar sakte’ (we don’t decide when we are born and when we die) and it will give you goosebumps.
