The launch of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) was nothing less than an Indian version of the Met Gala. We saw guests who were dressed to the nines and others who didn’t quite understand the assignment. The event was extra special because Shloka Ambani also revealed her second pregnancy. However, Shloka wasn’t the only mommy-to-be at the event.
Suhani Parekh, the famous jewellery designer who runs her own jewellery label, MISHO, was also present at the do. The entrepreneur is currently in her third trimester of pregnancy, and she made sure to flaunt her baby bump and design ethics in the most unique way possible on the NMACC red carpet.
The mommy-to-be was dressed in a lustrous bronze silk saree that came with silver and gold bordering. She ditched the mainstream blouse and teamed the vintage saree with a breastplate and belly armour that was made from 24K of real gold! Unbelievable, right?
Suhani, who already knows that she is having a baby girl, revealed that the textural details on the gold belly armour were carved and modelled on the sonography photographs of her mini human’s face. She added, “I love that she’s not even here yet and she’s already dripping in MISHO.”
Suhani further accessorised the ensemble with a thick gold necklace, matching kadas, and rings. The look was a gilded new take on motherhood that honoured the body that gives life. It was one of the most memorable looks of the night, and it should not be overlooked.
I love how women these days are not afraid to fearlessly flaunt their bellies, showing just how magical motherhood is!
