Sonakshi Sinha’s Knowledge About Ramayana Is As Poor As My Cooking Skills, Watch Video!

Here I was, casually scrolling through Reddit, when I stumbled upon an old video of Sonakshi Sinha from the iconic show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, seated across from the legendary host, Amitabh Bachchan. The clip kicked off with Mr. Bachchan posing a seemingly simple question, worth Rs. 1.6 lakh. And by simple I mean, it was so basic that I felt even a fifth-grader could have answered it in a jiffy. But to my astonishment, and that of many people, Sonakshi had difficulty answering the question and eventually had to seek help from an expert. 

The question was, “According to the Ramayana, Hanuman fetched the Sanjeevani herb for whom?”. The actress was then given the options, which were, Sugriv, Lakshmana, Sita, and Rama. Now, of course, we all have grown up watching serials and movies based on the epic Ramayana so the answer should have been a no-brainer. But somehow, Sonakshi got confused between Rama and Lakshmana.

Now, I found it a little extra funny coz’ as mentioned by Amitabh, the names of her family members have been inspired by the Ramayana. Heck, her family home is named after the ancient literature. Oh, the irony! That said, I am sure the actress was having one of those moments where our brains suddenly go blank. Or maybe she’s just not that well-versed with Ramayana?! Well, we’ll never know.
