Shweta Tiwari is a name synonymous with Indian television. The most popular bahu on TV shot to fame for portraying ‘Prerna’ in Kasautii Zindagi Kay and went on to win the Bigg Boss Season 4 trophy. She has appeared in shows like Naagin, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and was a fan favourite on the reality TV show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.
Recently, opening up about her personal life, Shweta Tiwari revealed that her daughter, Palak Tiwari has plans to enter Bollywood. The young star-to-be was earlier supposed to make her debut alongside Darsheel Safari but that got delayed beyond point and Palak withdrew her name from it to focus on her studies.
Mom Shweta Tiwari said, “Palak knows what she wants to do, hence everything is decided by her only.“
She further added, “Palak is someone who decides for herself. Recently, she got a luxurious brand shoot offer and she said no because she wants to do some valuable work and not bunk her school and papers for something which isn’t worth her time. She is the one who chooses her own auditions, says yes or no. I only handle the negotiation part. (laughs)”
When asked if Palak has reservations about being compared to her mother, Shweta said, “No, it is nothing like that for her. I am desh ki bahu, she doesn’t want to be a bahu. She didn’t want to do anything which is very close to my work. She is much better at acting than me.”
Talking about the amount of dedication that acting requires, Shweta said that Palak is ready for it. She elaborated, “She wants to be an educated actor and sound intelligent when she talks. She is focussed and has age on her side, so she is willing to wait for the right project. She wants to finish her studies and then look out. She has seen a lot about the industry through my experiences. I have been at my shoot right after a cyst operation, though I had eye infections, fever and other stress and pressure I went through. She is aware of the ways of the industry and the struggle I have been to.”
Well, we’re super excited to see Palak Tiwari on the big screen. Who do you think she’ll make a nice pair with?
