Shoaib Ibrahim To Quit Television To Help Dipika Kakar With Baby Duties?

In May 2023, Dipika Kakar caused a massive stir online after she announced her decision to quit acting. While the actress clarified that this decision might be just temporary, many fans were heartbroken. It appears that hubby Shoaib Ibrahim is also considering going down that road after welcoming his first child.

ICYMI, Dipika and Shoaib jumped into the magical land of parenting on June 21, 2023. After months of waiting, the couple recently welcomed their baby boy. While Dipika and Shoaib are over the moon about this new phase in their lives, there are challenges too. Their son is a premature baby and he needs extra love from his parents. Perhaps that’s why Shoaib is considering quitting his show Anjooni to be a stay-at-home dad.

In a recent vlog, Shoaib spoke about his dilemma and said, “Dipika ke pura pregnancy mein, mein uske saath nahi reh paya zyada, jitna ho sake shoot se time nikalke ke baad. Isiliye meine Dipika ko bol diya mujhe abhi aapke saath or bachhe ke saath waqt guzarna ha, at least 3-4 mahina, uske baad mein kaam dhundna shuru kar dunga” (During Dipika’s pregnancy, I was not able to stay with her. I tried to give her all the time after the shoot. So I told Dipika I want to spend time with her and the baby, for at least 3-4 months. Then I will start looking for work.) Clearly, Shoaib wants to spend all his time with Dipika and his son. My heart is so full watching these Ibrahim family moments! 

However, Dipika didn’t want Shoaib to quit his work and he finally relented. Luckily, the Ajooni producers decided to help the actor by lowering his working hours. 

All’s well that ends well! I am glad Dipika and Shoaib are finding the best way to embrace parenthood.
