The newest addition to the third season of Bollywood Wives, Shalini Passi, has taken the internet by storm with her charm and bubbly personality. The audience feels, unlike many wealthy people, Shalini radiates warmth, honesty, and innocence. Her larger-than-life style and taste, however, add a striking contrast to her personality. As an art collector with a keen eye for beauty, she finds value in things most people might overlook. This passion is reflected in her stunning, lavish abode in one of Delhi’s most exclusive neighborhoods.
Situated in the Golf Links neighborhood, Shalini’s sprawling residence spans approximately 20,000 square feet, making it less of a house and more of a private art gallery and oasis in the heart of India’s capital.
Before deciding on this house with 14 bedrooms, Shalini visited approx. 20 houses to find her dream one. According to her interview with Architectural Digest, she says that all her rooms are vastu compliant. She added, “People ask me what I like the most about this house, or which are my favourite works of art, and I always say it depends on the season and how I feel,”
Shalini’s home seamlessly blends modern elegance with touches of traditional Indian elements. The interiors are adorned with luxurious finishes – think marble floors, intricate woodwork, and vibrant accents that reflect Indian culture. High ceilings, cathedral-like central space, and large sculptural art windows add to the grandeur, offering a feeling of openness while allowing natural light to illuminate her art collection.
The most striking feature of her house is the massive brass-utensil, and steel Buddha by Subodh Gupta situated in her garden designed by Trevor Hiller of One Degree North Landscape Architects.
While the exact price of her house isn’t widely disclosed, a residence of this magnitude in one of Delhi’s elite neighborhoods could easily carry a price tag upwards of INR 50 crores, reportedly. Add to that the value of her art collection and custom finishes, and it’s safe to say that Shalini Passi’s home is more than just a residence, it’s a work of art.
