Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s little munchkin Zain turned one yesterday. He was born on September 5 last year and ever since then every picture of Zain has been a gem because of course, they give us an overdose of cuteness, how about you?
Yesterday, mommy Mira took to Instagram to wish her baby boy. She shared an adorable picture with Zain and wrote the sweetest caption ever, “Try and find Zain without a kissie patch.. Happy Birthday to my world ❤️ #bigbabyboy”
A few days back, mommy Mira gave us a sneak-peek into Zain’s birthday preps. She posted an Instagram story and showed us the DIY party decor she was planning to do. Looks like, Zain’s party had a black and gold theme.
Today, she shared a picture on her feed from the intimate party. Take a look:
Birthday boy’s cake was ordered from Mira’s go-to cakery, Daffodils Creations, in Mumbai’s Andheri West. All of Misha’s birthday cakes were also ordered from the same cakery.

Now if you are wondering why did Mira and Shahid decide on an intimate party, well, that’s because they’ve already had a big party for Zain. Last month, the couple threw a ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ themed birthday party. It was a combined birthday bash Misha and Zain. All the celebrity kids made it to the party. Shah Rukh Khan’s son AbRam, Karan Johar’s twins Yash and Roohi, Esha Deol and her baby girl Radhya, Soha Ali Khan and hubby Kunal Kemmu with their daughter Inaaya and many others celebrated Misha and Zain’s birthday bash.
Last year, after Zain’s birthday, Shahid had announced the news on his social media handles. He wrote, “Zain Kapoor is here and we feel complete. Thank you for all the wishes and blessings. We are overjoyed and so grateful. Love to all.”
Shahid’s mother, Neelima Azeem, had revealed that Zain’s name was decided at the time of Misha’s birth itself. Earlier, she said in an interview with a leading daily, “Mira and Shahid decided it mutually. At the time of Misha’s birth, Zain was decided. It was that it will be Misha if it is a girl (a combination of Mira and Sasha) and if it is a boy, it will be Zain. Long back I had shared the name with Zain. I had told Shahid that I love 4 names- Shahid, Ishaan, Zain and Kaamraan.”
In an interview, earlier, Mira spoke about how this pregnancy was special. She said, “Being able to bring a life into this world, feel it grow inside, and being able to connect with the baby before it has actually even arrived is surreal. And this time it’s been so interesting to see how Misha has been through the entire process. She knows there is a baby inside and she says, “Hi Baby!” every day to my tummy.”
