The Secret To Sara Ali Khan’s Gorgeous Hair Is The Steel Dabba That’s In Her Bag

Celebrities usually have an entire army behind their on-screen looks. From hair to makeup and costumes, it is no wonder they always look put together. But even when they aren’t shooting and working, most Bollywood divas step out with very little to no makeup and their hair is at its natural best, still looking as fabulous.

Take Sara Ali Khan for example. Sure, she comes from the Pataudi lineage and is genetically blessed, but there’s more to just her genes. From DIYs to her diet, Sara is cautious about what she eats and applies. And the secret to her gorgeous shiny hair could lie in her favourite snacks.

What Does Sara Ali Khan Snack On?

Unlike the rest of us who pull out a bag of chips or biscuits to snack on between meals, Sara picks healthier options. The Love Aaj Kal 2 actress disclosed the contents of her bag to Pinkvilla in an interview and there was an interesting item that stood out. “There is akhrot (walnut) and badam for when you’re hungry and chewing gum does not suffice,” she said taking out a steel box and placing it on the table.

In another interview, Sara also revealed that she uses almonds in powder form, to whip up a DIY scrub for her skin! The diva clearly has a favourite hero ingredient.

Why Almonds?

Rich in Vitamin E, omega 3 fatty acids, and a well-known emollient, almonds boost hair growth, and make the strands stronger and shinier. They also help protect the hair from environmental stressors and are therefore a popular ingredient in hair oils.

Not just the hair, almonds also help even out the skin tone and protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals since the dry fruit is rich in antioxidants.

Egyptian Queen Cleopatra was also known to add almonds to her beauty routine for these reasons.

Walnuts, On The Other Hand…

Like almonds, walnuts are also rich in vitamin E and fatty acids that prevent hair breakage and make hair stronger from the roots by strengthening the cuticles.

Also a common ingredient in hair oils, walnuts reduce inflammation in the scalp and help improve blood circulation simultaneously.

Gonna take notes from Sara and start healthy snacking STAT, for the sake of my hair!
