This Is What Sara Ali Khan Has To Say About Her Media-Fuelled Rivalry With Janhvi Kapoor
Sara Ali Khan is currently basking in the success of Simmba, which is roaring at the box office. Only two films old, the starlet has proved her mettle in the industry with her confidence and wit.
Bollywood is a competitive industry and celebs are constantly racing to rank higher in the number game. Starkids Sara and Janhvi Kapoor are often compared to each other since they made their debut in Bollywood in 2018. Sara starred opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Kedarnath and Janhvi made her debut with Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak. While they are good friends and don’t see each other as competition, the media urges them to get irked at each other sometimes.
Recently, the shutterbugs addressed Janhvi as Sara and to this, she said, “Aap jaan pooch ke bol rahe ho na?“
Looks like Jahnvi wasn’t too mad at the media, but her dad Boney Kapoor didn’t take this too well. Apparently, he shouted at her PR team for not being as effective and efficient like the one handling Sara.
In an interview with a magazine, Sara was asked about her contemporary Janhvi and she was all praises for her. Sara said, “She’s stunning as well. This whole thing (rivalry) about Janhvi and me is so funny. We’re both extremely comfortable and confident in our skin.”
Further talking about how the two laugh over the collages on social media pitting the two actresses with the ‘Who’s better?’ question, Sara added, “But seriously, the industry is huge and has a place for everyone. You’ve got to be comfortable in your skin and respect the other’s job as well. I respect hers, she respects mine and at the risk of speaking for her, we respect even those people who make those collages. Their money also depends on it. Do it, we don’t mind. Some days she’ll look better, some days I’ll look better. It’s all good.”
Apart from answering questions about her professional life, Sara also spoke at lengths about her personal life, mainly about little brother Taimur Ali Khan. On being asked if Taimur is the star of the family, she said, “Yes, hands down. He walks out of the house and it makes the news. While we have to work hard for it.”
Sara shares a great camaraderie with both Ibrahim and Taimur. She said, “Both are bundles of cuteness and equally naughty. Their naughtiness takes different shapes because they are of different sizes. Taimur’s still a child and I can’t wait for him to grow up to bond with him.”
