It is safe to establish that Sara Ali Khan looks the best in Indian wear. Whether she is wearing one of her simple white suits, heavy embroidered lehengas or pretty printed kurtas, ethnic pieces look too darn flattering on the actress. Sara is all geared up for her Bollywood debut with two movies – Kedarnath and Simmba – and her looks for the promotions are giving us all kinds of desi fashion goals.
Earlier today, Sara was seen in a beautiful suit by her favourite designers, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, and looked Aankh Marey-amazing.

The 25-year-old drove our mid-week blues away in this gorgeous floor-length churidar suit by AJSK. All she needed were a pair of floral studs and a thumb ring (designed by Nikhil Thampi), gold-toned pumps, and some subtle but statement-making makeup to kill us with kindness.

We are in love with the pretty work on her suit. The off-white suit is embellished with multicoloured sequins in a geometric pattern, has a simple V-neck with a mandarin collar neck design, and a net dupatta with a thick embellished border in the same pattern. If you look closely, the suit has buttons running in the front giving its kurta a shirt-like front.

Let us tell you why this style of suit design is so hot in trend and works well for all occasions:
1. Sequins add an instant glam to any outfit. It’s no wonder then that all weddings this season are dominated by this stylish work. Whether monotone or multicoloured, they complement not just western styles but Indian wear too and with such grace – as you can tell from Sara’s suit.
2. When statement-making prints and patterns are played with pastel shades, the end result is magical. This will bring out the design in an elaborate manner without making you look like a Christmas tree.
3. When it comes to accessorising such outfits, remember, less is more. You don’t need more than a pair of earrings or a maangtika to complete your look.
But there is another reason why we are digging this suit so much. Have you checked out its back design?

The suit is backless with a gigantic keyhole design, and wow! Just when we thought the outfit couldn’t get sexier, Sara twirled and gave us a solid back design idea. And it’s totally worth the winter chills, we tell you. If Sara can wear it in this Dilli ki Sardi, so can we. And so will we!

POPxo Tip: When going for kurtas (basically, your hero piece) that have embroidery and work done all over, pair them with simpler and less busy pieces. Make sure your dupatta is sheer with a matching design on the border so it looks like a complete set. Go for trousers that are simple and basic too. This will give you a balanced look without making you look OTT.
