Salman Khan is the OG Bollywood dabangg. The actor has no filters whatsoever and that often gets him into trouble. Something similar happened recently during an award show press conference. Salman was supposed to host this award show but I am not too sure of that happening after listening to some of the shocking statements that he made during his media interaction!
‘Awards Have Lost Their Originality’
Talking about award shows, bhaijaan shared he feels they have lost their originality. He shared, “Ye nahi hai to isko dedo, usne perform kiya to usko dedo. Jo ek originality hai, ek genuineness hai ek award ka hua karta tha, wo, wo kho gaya. Jitesh ke kareeb koi hai to usko dhadadhad award mile jaa rahe hai” (If he’s not there give it to him, that person performed give it to him. The originality and Guinness that these awards used to have is lost. Whoever is closest to Jitesh, he’s getting wards one after the other). Here’s the video:
‘Used Awards As Door Stoppers’
During the press conference, Salman Khan also shared that he was never interested in awards. The actor joked that he has seen so many of them that they are sometimes used as doorstoppers at his home. The most shocking bit? Salman claimed that he even used to give away these wards when there was no space left to keep them.
‘I Was Promised An Award But Was Not Given’
Salman revealed how he was once promised an award in exchange for a dance performance. He attended the show with his family, including his father Salmi Khan. However, they were left disappointed when they realised that the award actually went to Jackie Shroff. Salman was so pissed that he refused to perform that night. But the editors convinced him by paying for his dance performance.
Well, it takes gut to attend an award show press conference and then diss them like Salman just did! Now, some might claim that Salman was “just kidding” but the world knows that’s never the case with him!
