Saba Azad’s Glowing Skin Secret Costs Less Than Your Coffee!

Saba Azad has been making headlines recently, and for some reason, none of them seem to talk about the secret behind her glowing skin. In her appearance on Tweak India’s Morning Chai segment, Saba spoke about a lot of things—her skincare, her diet but most importantly, the secret behind her radiance.

So, What Is The Secret Behind Her Glowing Skin?

“For me….I like doing face packs,” said the Rocket Boys star, proceeding to list out all of the ingredients she likes to mix for a quick, DIY homemade remedy.

“I like doing chandan, rose, and nutmeg face packs. They are really good. You can add a little bit of yoghurt and lemon to it. There are a lot of really beautiful ubtans that are found traditionally which you can try. Yoghurt is always great, and milk is good. So, my grandmother would give us milk baths every now and then,” she said.

The superpower ingredients here are chandan and nutmeg. Nutmeg is a skincare superstar; it has anti-inflammatory properties, is anti-bacterial and rich in antioxidants while sandalwood helps with acne, wrinkles and gives your face that overall radiant glow.

Here Are A Few Recipes You Can Follow

If you do have everything Saba mentions on hand, go ahead and recreate the recipe. But it’s more likely that you have one or two of these ingredients lying around from when you went through that DIY mask phase. These DIY mask ideas with sandalwood or nutmeg will give you Saba’s coveted glow without the hassle.

Sandalwood + Rosewater

Add two tbsp. of chandan powder to a few drops of rose water. Adjust the quantity until you get a smooth paste that is not too runny. Apply this on your face until it’s almost completely dry and towel off with cold water.

Nutmeg + Milk + Honey

Combine 2 tbsp. honey, 2 tbsp. nutmeg and 2 tsp. milk to form a thin paste. Apply that to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and follow with a light moisturiser or hyaluronic serum.

You can also do this mask with just the nutmeg and honey for an oil-prevention mask. Mix the two ingredients and leave it on for 15 minutes before wiping it off.

Nutmeg + Yoghurt + Lemon Juice

Mix together 2 tbsp. of honey, 1 big tbsp. of dahi and half a tsp. of lemon juice in a bowl. Apply the mask in a thick layer all over your face and let it sit for 8-10 minutes. Rinse off with cold water and repeat at least thrice a week to see results!

All three of these recipes can be created in under three minutes, and I’m pretty positive you’ve got most of these ingredients lying around. Sometimes the most effective remedies come straight from nature, backed by generational wisdom—Saba seems to think so, and I couldn’t agree more!
