Rasode Mein Gehna Hai! Saath Nibhaana Sathiyaa 2.0 Is Back With Saas-Bahu Saga On TV

The popular TV show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya that ended three years ago has been in the news ever since the Rasode Mein Kaun Tha rap went viral. Thanks to Yashraj Mukhate, we had a hilarious clip to watch on loop and TBH, it took my mind off the nightmare that 2020 has been, at least for a little while. After the viral video, the makers of the show announced a second season. And for those who were eagerly waiting, let us tell you that the makers have finally *drumrolls* dropped a promo.

As reported, Devoleena Bhattacharjee will reprise her role as Gopi bahu (that was earlier played by Gia Manek) and the promo features just her. The video starts with Devoleena clad in a pink saree, making a grand entry and greeting the audience with ‘Jai Shri Krishna’ (kaafi Tulsi Virani vibes). She then goes into their rasoda’ and apparently introduces a new character ‘Gehna’ by cracking the same cooker-chana joke that went viral.

The actress also talks about Gehna, who can sometimes give the sweetest surprises but at other times can shock her too. After that, Kokilaben can be heard calling her fave bahu Gopi. Devoleena shared the video on her Instagram handle and wrote, “We are back by popular demand.” Watch the promo –

Three days ago, the actress had also shared a behind-the-scenes picture of herself clad in the same saree as we saw in the promo.

The latest buzz is that Mohammad Nazim, who played the character of Ahem Modi (Gopi’s husband), might be replaced by Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla. However, there is no confirmation about the same.

Gia had played Gopi bahu in the show that started airing back in 2010, however, she was replaced by Devoleena in 2012 after the former decided to participate in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Recently, when Gia was asked about not being approached for Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, the actress said that she isn’t feeling bad as she is greedy as an artist and cannot play Gopi bahu her entire life. She is happy with Devoleena playing the character and she has no hard feelings for her, the actress added. 

Meanwhile the makers of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya are yet to announce the release date, but reports suggest that the show will go on air before Diwali in November.
