Rihanna’s 60-sec Contouring Technique Will Give You The Ultimate Natural Snatch

There’s no slowing Bad Gal RiRi down. Everything Rihanna does feels like a breath of fresh air. From redefining maternity fashion to delivering jaw-dropping beauty looks and ruling the world of music – there’s seemingly nothing Ri can’t do. Whenever the pop star posts a pic on Instagram, it leaves a trail of gasps in its wake. She kills it every single time.

With a baddie IDGAF attitude to glamm, her beauty looks always pack a punch, and we can’t help but wax poetic about how stunning they are. Her face makes us want to stare so hard that our eyeballs go dry. That being said, it’s Riri’s 60-second contouring technique making rounds on Instagram rn, and we’re 100% sold. In contrast to heavily contoured faces of the past, the hack involves applying contour products for a delicate, natural vibe. If you want to make your contour look good IRL and not just on Instagram, here’s your crash course to try the pop star-approved trick.

Here’s A Step-By-Step Guide To Try RiRi’s 60-Sec Contouring Technique

RiRi’s makeup artist Priscilla Ono spoke to GLAMOUR to share the star’s go-to contouring technique. It’s all about taking a light-handed approach to nail a natural-looking lifted and sculpted look rather than ending up with harsh painterly stripes of old. The hack takes less than a minute to master and will give you incredible results. Here’s the 411 on RiRi’s contouring technique.

Step 1: Grab A Cream Contour

We suggest using a cream contour for this hack as it melts into the skin and blends seamlessly giving a natural-looking contour. Take some product on the back of your hands.

Step 2: She Came, She Contoured

Load the product from the back of your hands onto a contouring brush. Then, run the applicator along the hollows of the cheeks, under the jawline, and a little under the chin. If you want to narrow the face, you can sweep it on the temples as well.

Step 3: Blend, Blend, Blend

Blending is key when it comes to acing a modern-looking soft sculpted look. Rih’s MUA loves using a sponge rather than a contouring brush for blending because it’s easier to apply that way and less time-consuming. She rolls the sponge on the leftover pigment she already has on her hands. And then she works to melt away the harsh edges.

Step 4: The Art Of Reverse Contouring

Priscilla Ono then uses the flat end of the sponge to apply the foundation in order to make her jawline and cheekbones pop even more. All you have to do is take some foundation on the flat end of the blender and apply it just underneath the area where you laid down your original contour. This is gonna make your face look extra snatched.

Step 5: Sculpted By The Heavens

Be prepared to make heads turn with that envy-inducing bone structure.
