Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani released the cutest wedding pictures and it’s reminding me of their crackling chemistry in Shershaah. Watching them getting married in real life was like a dream come true.
In their wedding post, the couple also made a reference to Shershaah’s dialogue, “Permanent booking ho gayi teri.” Well, I was looking at their pics for hours and I definitely want to see more gorgeous pics from their shaadi. But till then, I am rewatching Shershaah ‘coz I am still not over Captain Vikram Batra (Sidharth) and Dimple Cheema’s (Kiara) love story.
Scroll down for the most heartwarming dialogues from the film. Psst…there are spoilers ahead!
First Declaration Of Love…
After gazing into each other’s eyes for a long time, Dimple decides to have ‘the talk’ with Vikram. What follows is an honest and open declaration of love.
D:“Mai pasand hu tujhe?”
V:“Bahut”
D:“Toh yellow phool Mona ko kyu diya.
V: Agar nahi deta toh pure saal tere irad-gird chakkar kaatne mein nikal jaate. Aur tu puchti bhi nahi ki mai tujhe like karta hun ya nahi. Dekh yaar Dimple, tera dost nahi banna chahta. Ab to bata de tum mujhe like bhi karti hai ya nahi. Palampur ka sidha sadha launda hun mai, tekho sirf Chandigarh wale Launde chahiye. Jaldi bata Kyunki aajkal mujhe nind bhi nahi aati.”
When Kiara Said ‘Yes’ In Reel Life
Just like Sid, Captain Vikram Batra also had plans to marry the love of his life. In Shershaah, he went down on his knees and pulled off a heartwarming proposal that still lives in my head rent-free.
D: “Natak band kar, tujhe dikhayi nahi de raha”
V: “Mujhe kuch dikhayi nahi de raha, siwaye uss zindigi ke jo mujhe tere sath bitani hai. Sab kuch toh jaan liya tune mere baare mei, accha, bura, sab kuch. Pyaar karta hua tere se.”
Permanent Booking!
Sidharth and Kiara’s wedding caption, “Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai” was a shoutout to their dialogue in Shershaah.
V: “Hath de apna”
D:“Ab iska kya matlb”
V: “Ab teri permanent booking ho gayi”
The Cutest Shaadi Moment In Bollywood
Instead of going for a traditional wedding, Vikram and Dimple had a secret ceremony in the film. And the bride didn’t even know she was getting married!
V: “Congratulations, Mrs Batra. Aapki abhi abhi shaadi hue hai Lieutenant Vikram Batra ke sath”
D:“Phas gayi mai”
One Last Call
Before Captain Vikram sacrificed his life for the country, he made a call to Dimple. Vikram and Dimple have an emotional exchange here. This scene always makes me cry!
D: “Tu wapis kab aa raha hai?”
V: “Bas ek aur mission hai, khatam karke aata hu, tu apni shaadi ka joda silwa ke rakh lio”
I bet you are feeling the urge to watch Shershaah after reading these dialogues. There’s no better time to do it! Watch it on Amazon Prime
