Aamir Khan‘s film Taare Zameen Par took us through a rollercoaster of emotions. While the storyline itself was worth all the praise, it was Darsheel Safary who proved to be the soul of the movie. Darsheel aka Ishaan Awasthi had our hearts the minute he appeared on the big screen with that mischievous smile. The entire nation was in awe of his acting skills. However, we did not see a lot of him after the film’s success. He did a few small projects and then went missing.
Well, we have an interesting update. Darsheel is all grown up now and will soon be making his on-screen comeback.
Yesterday, Darsheel took to the ‘Gram to announce his grand return to the screens. He shared the poster of his upcoming short film titled, Captial A small a. The romantic film will be helmed by Sumit Suresh Kumar and it will be released on 17th November on the Amazon Shopping MiniTV tab. The film will also feature Revathi Pillai in a lead role. She earlier starred in the TV series, Yeh Meri Family and won hearts.
According to reports, the film revolves around teenagers dealing with their insecurities and fears. The makers share that the plot line will be relatable to the younger audience and is sure to remind them of their first crush.
Further speaking about this new project, Darsheel discussed his acting career in a recent interview. He is happy that things are finally falling into place and he can’t wait to sign up for more Bollywood projects.
When asked about the actresses he wished to work with, he took Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan’s names. “I want to work with them. Who wouldn’t? Janhvi and Sara are established names in the industry. I believe everyone gets his or her chance. Maybe in a couple of years, I will get mine, too,” the actor added.
Well, we have no doubts that Darsheel will leave his mark wherever he goes. But for now, we’re counting down until we see him back on our screen again!
