Baahubali is a magnum opus which has been about five years in the making. The first part had released two years ago, making millions of moviegoers fall in love with this alternate, compelling universe. Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion released on Friday and this is certainly the movie we all have been waiting for with bated breath and want to watch as soon as possible. Here’s why!
1. The sheer magnitude of the production!
The two-part series was made with a combined budget of around Rs 450 crores, making it one of the most expensive movies to be ever produced in India. And that obviously reflects how the movie is shot from locations ranging from Kerala to Bulgaria. And let’s not forget the great special effects which make the experience all the more engaging.
2. Excited to find out about the climax!
The movie ended at such an edge-of-the-seat moment that the question on every second person’s mind is ‘Why the heck did Katappa kill Baahubali?’ Well, now you can just hit your nearest cinemas and find out how!
3. It has an insanely popular legacy
Well, the trailer of the film was viewed over 77 million times – basically, everyone we know is as excited as us!
4. Again, the huge scale
This film is expected to be screened at approximately 6,500 screens across India in various languages (mainly Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam), enabling it to have the maximum screen count for any big-ticket Bollywood film ever.
5. Outpouring of support!
The movie has been receiving enthusiastic responses from members of the film fraternity and it has great brand associations, including that of OPPO! Along with the partnership with the movie, the global smartphone brand also announced the arrival of the new F3. The new smartphone will inherit the dual front camera design, with one Double View Group Selfie Camera – to help you click the perfect group selfie. Get ready to post some amazing groupfies! *Wink*
6. And yes, there are books too
If the larger-than-life movies weren’t enough, there will now be a three-part book series as a prequel to the Baahubali movies. The Rise of Sivagami, penned by reputed author Anand Neelakantan was the first book in the trilogy that was released earlier this month.
7. Social media to the rescue
The entire Baahubali team is extremely active and responsive to fans on social media. Whether it is responding to queries on where to buy tickets or get them excited by participating in different contests, also warning them against fake websites claiming to sell tickets – they have got you all covered!
