This Bride’s Gown With A 5-Meter Long Trail Will Make You Forget Aishwarya’s Cannes Look!

“Marriage is a beautiful world where only two loving souls exist” – This was Japinder’s answer when we asked her what the word marriage actually means to her. Well, before we dive into the story, let us first introduce you to the beautiful, lovely couple, Japinder and Harpreet.

They have a very serene but beautiful love story. They met through Harpreet’s mom and connected like two pieces of a puzzle from the very first meeting. And with time, love blossomed. Looking at their starry wedding, one would hope that the proposal would have been a very extravagant and filmi one, right? Well, it was instead a calm and heartfelt proposal at Bangla Sahib Gurudwara in Delhi, at 3 a.m. on a chilly winter morning. How beautiful is that?!

And now coming to what this story is actually about – Japinder’s gorgeous princessy gown that she wore for her engagement ceremony. The wedding was a big, fat Punjabi destination affair that took place at Palazzo Versace Hotel, Dubai. But more than the wedding, what enamoured us was the bride’s elaborate gown that had a – wait for it – 5-metre long trail! Yes, we’re not kidding!

The bride wanted a true red carpet moment for her engagement ceremony and boy, did she get it! Her 17th-century architecture inspired scallop handwork Ballroom gown with a 5-metre long trail and conicals all around was designed by designer duo Fadi and Jihan of Dar Sara High Fashion, who also happen to be close friends of Japinder.

They understood her vision and worked around the clock to create this masterpiece in less than a month. This is what Jihan had to say about the gorgeous outfit created by them:

“The idea was to have the biggest princessy moment of Japinder‘s life where she could never look back and wonder if she could have worn a longer trail.”

Well, that makes complete sense!

Apart from the bride’s gown, it was the wedding cake that caught our attention! A 6-feet tall cake made by the excellent patissiers at the Palazzo Versace itself. It was GRAND!

Bollywood actress and socialite Sophie Chowdhary was also present at the do.

The entire wedding was photographed beautifully by the very talented team of The Wedding Salad. 

Japinder’s make-up was kept minimal and light by her make-up artist Noreen Shehryar and we think she did a great job! Heavy make-up would have taken the limelight away from the bride’s gorgeous outfit!
