Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter, Raha, has become the internet’s favorite, capturing hearts with her adorable charm. Recently, Kapoor shared a touching anecdote about his little one, and it’s nothing short of heartwarming.
The Animal actor participated in a special conversation with filmmaker Rahul Rawail at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Sunday. The event was held to honor the 100th birth anniversary of his grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor. During the session, Ranbir revealed the first song he played for Raha—a beautiful connection to his grandfather. The song is the iconic track Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisaar from the 1959 classic Anari.
He shared, “I am an 80s kid too. It is my anthem, my favorite song. The first song I made my daughter Raha hear was Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisaar from Raj Kapoor’s 1959 classic Anari. The lyrics are so simple yet profound. It’s definitely a great philosophy to live life by.”
During the same event, Ranbir Kapoor shared a surprising anecdote about his first meeting with Alia Bhatt. He recalled, “The first time I met Alia, she asked me, ‘Who’s Kishore Kumar?’ The revelation left the audience stunned. When one of the attendees asked if he was serious, Ranbir explained, “It’s just the circle of life. People tend to forget, and new artists take the spotlight. That’s why I believe it’s so important to remember our roots and cherish the legends who shaped our culture.”
