Wait, What? Ranbir-Alia Were Supposed To Make Their Debut With This SBL Movie & Here’s What Went Wrong

In the last few days, our Instagram has turned into a happy place all thanks to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s dreamy wedding pictures. Since then we have been discovering so many fun things about the gorgeous couple and we are here to spill the beans. Most of the #Ralia fans know that Alia first met Ranbir on the sets of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, but do you know there is so much more to the story?

Alia and Ranbir were supposed to make their Bollywood debuts with SLB’s film called Balika Vadhu and at the time, the Highway actress was just 12. The two stars even did a photo shoot together but Alia couldn’t stop blushing and eventually, the project was shelved. 

A little while ago the actress spoke about the film and shared, “When I met Ranbir for the first time, I was 12 years old. He was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali and I had to do a photoshoot with him. And I was so shy that I had to keep my head on his shoulder and I could not do it. Bhansali sir was saying I was flirting with Ranbir.”

Later Ranbir also confirmed Alia’s story in an interview and said, “Not many people know that Alia and I were actually going to debut together when Sanjay Ji was making a film called Balika Vadhu. We had also done a photoshoot together and since then, I have been a fan of hers.”

It is quite fair to say that Alia literally manifested her dream wedding to her first crush and this is the cutest Bollywood love story ever. 

A Look Into Ranbir And Alia’s Love Story

After making her debut in Bollywood, Alia never missed an opportunity to talk about her desire to marry Ranbir. Eventually, it was Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva that brought Alia and Ranbir together. After years of knowing each other, the couple fell in love and got their fairy tale ending. As Shah Rukh Khan once said, “Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho; to puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai!” Right, Alia?
